Goal Kicker Tips
Gary Rohan has moved past his early career finals jitters and looks the best bet to hit the scoreboard for the Cats. He has kicked 2 and 3 goals in his two finals this year, and 2+ in five of his last six games. The former Swan makes the most of his opportunities in front of goal, ranking 9th for scoring accuracy of all players who have kicked 10+ goals this year.
Isaac Heeney is always an awkward match-up given his ability to play tall or small. He has kicked a goal in 14 straight games and 2+ in nine of those. He booted an equal career-high 5 goals last time against the Cats back in Round 2.
We’re big fans of TopSport’s exact player goals markets and Jeremy Cameron presents as value for a down game in front of the sticks here. The star Cat has a bad record against Sydney and the always stingy veteran Dane Rampe, averaging exactly one goal a game from his last five.
Disposals Tips
Geelong appear to have managed Patrick Dangerfield’s workload to perfection this year and he enters this game off an ominous performance against Collingwood. The veteran superstar had a game-high 28 disposals last weekend, the fifth straight game he’s had over 20 touches. The $1.36 for 20+ looks a great same game multi anchor with 25+ at $2.20 excellent value.
At just 21 years of age, Chad Warner may be the one Sydney player keeping Chris Scott up at night most this week. The goal-kicking midfielder has become a very consistent ball-winner, recording 20+ touches in 9 of his last 10 games.
Two Cats present value in the 15+ disposal markets for some extra cream on a same game multi. Zach Guthrie has had 15+ disposals in 5 of Geelong’s last 6 games, while Gryan Miers has done the same in 4 of his last 5.
Same Game Multi Tips
As we stated in our AFL Grand Final preview, we’re very keen on Geelong to record their fourth premiership this century on Saturday. We’ll back Danger to lead them out of the middle and Gary Rohan to hit the scoreboard as well.
