Richmond didn’t lose to Brisbane once during the entire decade of the 2010s but all the signs are that the dominance will be reversed in the 2020s.

These sides have played some good games in the interim, but the Lions showed with an 81 point hiding last year that they will not hesitate to return the favour.

Unfortunately, Richmond come into this side in deplorable form, down on personnel and confidence. They were flat out embarrassed by the Dogs at the MCG last week, their once impenetrable fortress.

After a fairly competitive start to 2024, the Tigers have now lost five straight, four of those by 39 points or more, including to the hapless Eagles.

The pain only gets worse for Tigers, who have been forced to make four changes for this one, and will have used 38 players this season, clearly most in the league.

Brisbane have injury issues to deal with of their own, particularly in the back half, but they are still capable of putting a big margin on a bad team, and Richmond are unfortunately that.
