South Sydney are in rarefied air here, in the throes of betting history. Souths are currently riding a 16-game streak where they have not covered a single game, surely a record since betting became prevalent on the NRL and right up there with any streak in world sport.

On that alone, the Rabbitohs have to be taken on here. The market is clearly overrating a Bunnies team even as they paddle at the bottom of the NRL ocean.

North Queensland are hardly a reliable proposition having covered just three of their last 12 when favoured off a loss but when things click for the Cowboys, they can score quickly and can score in bunches. The Cowboys have topped 35 points three times this year.

Souths have been diabolical defensively. They have conceded 28 points in all bar a single game. On the road, they have conceded 38.8 points per game.

The Cowboys really should open up the Rabbitohs here.
