The Renegades travel to Sydney to face the Sixers on Wednesday night in search of their fourth win from five starts this season.
Best Bet
While the Renegades are an improving side, the Sixers’ record at the SCG is too good to ignore.
The men in pink have won 12 of their last 13 at home including their last six. Josh Philippe and Moises Henriques in particular have great records at the venue with the bat. Steve O’Keefe is always a handful with the ball and while he appeared to suffer a hamstring injury against the Stars, he has been named in this squad.
The Renegades have been a much better team this season. Nic Maddinson and Aaron Finch are both in the top ten for runs scored as are Akeal Hosein and Tom Rogers for wickets taken. They will also welcome Martin Guptill into the team for his first appearance this season, replacing Andre Russell.
There’s been money for David Saker’s team, however, the Sixers just can’t be backed against at home.
Next Best
Philippe has a terrific record at the SCG and against the Renegades. The Sixers opener has smacked 50+ in 5 of his last 10 games at this venue and has scored 25+ runs in 5 of his last 6 games against this opponent. He should bounce back from a poor showing last time out.
Value Bet
The West Indian spinner has arguably been the recruit of the tournament so far, taking 3+ wickets in 3 of his 4 games for the ‘Gades. He’ll love getting out onto the typically spin-friendly SCG for the first time this season.
