The Kansas City Chiefs return to the Super Bowl for the fifth time in six years, meeting their opponents from 2022, the Philadelphia Eagles. The game will be played at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.

The Kansas City Chiefs are an outstanding bet to win their fourth Super Bowl with quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
While the Chiefs offence hasn’t quite put up the record numbers of years past, they are simply a juggernaut, having lost only one game this year they were actively trying to win.
The individual mechanics of each team are important – how they play offensively, defensively, and how each team reacts to that – the sum of the Chiefs is more than the individual parts, which is remarkable given the quality of those parts.
Patrick Mahomes is probably the best quarterback the game has ever seen, Andy Reid is up there as far as coaches are concerned, and Steve Spagnuolo’s defence has – for many years now – just found a way to make plays when they are required.
The way for the Eagles to win this game is essentially to ride on the back of Saquon Barkley and their run game, but the strength of the Chiefs is their ability to win “left handed”. It can be the pass game, the run game, defence, special teams – they have multiple ways to win, whereas the path for the Eagles is much narrower.
Key trends and numbers also point towards the Chiefs. Mahomes is 17-3 in playoff games. On extended rest, Mahomes is 30-4 since 2019. Mahomes has trailed in the 4th quarter or overtime in nine playoff games – he’s won six, and forced overtime in two.
Vic Fangio’s defence has been a real highlight for the Eagles this season, but he is 0-8 as a head coach or defensive coordinator against Mahomes.
All four Super Bowl coaching rematches have been won by the coach that won the first meeting, which points toward Andy Reid getting the better of Nick Sirianni again.
Don’t get caught up in Chiefs fatigue – but they are the only way to bet this game.
