Ojosan failed at her only attempt down the straight but I’m prepared to give her one more chance, as her racing style – getting back and running on – should be suited. The wide draw won’t hurt her chances at all, Hannah Edgley can position her back near last and as she showed last time at Moonee Valley, she does have a sharp sprint on her day.

The Maher/Eustace trained mare showed an explosive turn of foot to run over her rivals last start at Rosehill, and while this is tougher, she does drop to just 51Kg after the claim for Reece Jones.

Vowmaster resumes from a long spell here. The Chris Waller trained gelding generated enormous buzz with scintillating back to back wins to begin his career, then trained off a little. However, he has been trialling very well for this and if he can find that original form, he will take plenty of beating here.

Never Again has struck a rich vein of form and looks well placed here on the back up from an impressive win at Sandown. This race is tougher but he is fit, in form and deserves his opportunity. The particularly impressive part of his last start win was the last 100m, so that bodes well for the step up in trip here.

This is very weak for a Listed race and Halvorsen has the chance to record yet another win down the straight. The gelding showed he is going as good as ever first up finishing fourth in a stronger race behind Joyful Fortune, and while he has got 60Kg to contend with, he is a proven weight carrier. Andrew Mallyon should position him back of midfield and pounce late.

Fox Fighter is racing as though he wants the 1400m and combined with a slight drop in class, that makes him a very big chance in this race. Last start at Randwick in the Razor Sharp he flew home to run fourth and it was a particularly good effort as the placings were filled by on pace runners. Can win here at nice odds.
