We have UFC 329: McGregor vs. Holloway II picks and predictions for the card this Sunday, July 12 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Conor McGregor returns to the Octagon after years of inactivity, and he’s the current underdog against Max Holloway, who lives for these fights.
Our UFC predictions cover every fight on the card, including Saint-Denis vs. Pimblett, Sandhagen vs. Bautista, and Royval vs. Kavanagh.
UFC 329 Main Card Picks
Conor McGregor vs. Max Holloway
It’s almost impossible to predict what McGregor will produce at UFC 329, but he’s the underdog for a couple of reasons.
The former champion hasn’t fought since losing to Dustin Poirier in 2021, so he hasn’t been in the Octagon for five years. That’s a significant layoff, and his reputation has taken a dive since due to multiple incidences.
The concern when betting against McGregor is that he’s an incredible fighter, so he can never be ruled out, but based on the circumstances, Holloway should score the victory.
Holloway is as tough as they come, and although he was neutralised by Charles Oliveria, he is set for a bounce back effort on Sunday. We have Holloway winning and ending McGregor’s UFC career for good, so take the $1.91 for a KO win.
Benoit Saint-Denis vs. Paddy Pimblett
We are surprised to see Paddy Pimblett as the betting underdog. He’s a popular fighter, and although beaten by Justin Gaethje at UFC 324, that form has been franked at UFC Freedom 250.
He’s an enigmatic fighter, but the 31-year-old can’t be overlooked. He’s a tough fighter, and his confidence levels are through the roof.
Benoit Saint-Denis comes off a KO win over Dan Hooker, but beating Hooker isn’t tough these days. Hooker’s form has tapered off significantly, so Saint-Denis was made to look better than he was. We can’t back Saint-Denis at $1.71, so take the $2.15 for Paddy the Baddy to get back to his winning ways.
Cory Sandhagen vs. Mario Bautista
A close fight is expected between Cory Sandhagen and Mario Bautista, and we give Sandhagen a slight edge.
The 34-year-old American looked good in early 2025 when scoring a win by KO, and although he lost to Merab Dvalishvili in October, that was always going to be a tough fight for him. Facing Bautista is a much easier task.
Bautista hasn’t fought the same level of opponents as Sandhagen, and although he has only three losses on his record, we believe the occasion at UFC 329 could prove too much for the 33-year-old, who performs best on Fight Night cards.
Sandhagen pays $1.67, which is worth including in UFC picks this week.
Brandon Royval vs. Lone’er Kavanagh
We believe Lone’er Kavanagh is a rising star in the flyweight division, and a win over former champ Brandon Royval would help his career.
The 27-year-old is still learning inside the Octagon, which is a scary thought, and he’s good enough to beat an ageing Royval, who was knocked out by Manel Kape in December. That’s not a good loss to have on your record, and he could struggle to recover.
His best days are behind him, and with Kavanagh on the rise, we’re not surprised to see UFC odds open Kavanagh at $1.45. The odds are on the shorter side of value, but he should get his hand raised.
King Green vs. Terrance McKinney
There isn’t much between King Green and Terrance McKinney in betting markets, and they’re tough fighters to predict.
Green scored a submission win over Jeremy Stephens, but he has 17 losses on his record, so punters have had a hard time making money betting on the 39-year-old.
McKinney has an 18-8 record following a KO win over Kyle Nelson, where he took only 24 seconds to win. That was an impressive performance, and it bodes well for Sunday’s fight. He should be confident of landing another big shot.
The $1.68 odds are good enough to include McKinney in UFC predictions.
