UFC Fight Night: Bautista vs. Oliveira Main Card Picks

Mario Bautista vs. Vinicius Oliveira

There is plenty of hype surrounding Bautista and Oliveira, so it’s an intriguing main event in Las Vegas on Sunday.

Bautista looks to bounce back from a loss to Umar Nurmagomedov, which was always going to be a tough fight, and it’s why he’s the $1.53 to beat Oliveira. However, the Brazilian fighter hasn’t done anything wrong since arriving in the UFC.

The 30-year-old defeated Said Nurmagomedov by decision before getting past Kyler Phillips with a dominant decision victory. That’s solid enough form to cause an upset, and his stocks could fly through the roof this week.

Betting against Bautista isn’t easy, but it’s tough to rebound following a tough loss. Back Oliveira to hand him another loss at $2.62.

Vinicius Oliveira
Win

Amir Albazi vs. Kyoji Horiguchi

Most of the early money has come for Kyoji Horiguchi, and it’s tough to disagree with the $1.25 odds.

The 35-year-old owns a 35-5 record, and he looked good when submitting Tagir Ulanbekov in November. That was a standout win for the Japanese fighter, who often calls on his experience to get the job done in the Octagon.

That win came after a nine-year absence, so he’s making up for lost time, and Albazi is merely standing in his way at UFC Fight Night. Albazi hasn’t won since 2023 when beating Kai-Kara France, which is a good win, but a lack of recent form isn’t good.

He hasn’t had much luck with cancelled fights, but his loss to Brandon Moreno in 2024 was a beat down, and he might not have recovered.

Jailton Almeida vs. Rizvan Kuniev

There isn’t much between Jailton Almeida and Rizvan Kuniev with UFC odds, but Almeida holds favouritism at $1.62.

The American was no match for Alex Volkov at UFC 321, but he looked good in earlier fights when knocking out Sergey Spivac and scoring three submission wins over good fighters.

Kuniev has had only one fight in the UFC, losing to Curtis Blaydes by decision. He did well to avoid getting knocked out, but he didn’t offer much in the way of offence. That’s a big concern against a fighter like Almeida, who can win by KO or sub.

We’re happy to include Almeida in our UFC multi bet picks.

Win

Michal Oleksiejczuk vs. Marc-Andre Barriault

After scoring two emphatic KO wins last year, the momentum is with Michal Oleksiejczuk to win against Marc-Andre Barriault.

The 30-year-old scored wins over Gerald Meerschaert and Sedriques Dumas, and although they aren’t near the top of the middleweight division, he made them look second-rate.

Barriault has been in the UFC since 2019, and although he has had some good fights, he hasn’t gone to the next level. His 17-10 record doesn’t impress, and he has lost fights that he was expected to win. Therefore, we’re backing Oleksiejczuk to extend his KO streak.

Michal Oleksiejczuk
Win

Jean Matsumoto vs. Farid Basharat

Boasting an unbeaten 14-0 record and coming from a good fighting family, Farid Basharat is the best-backed fighter to win in this matchup.

The 28-year-old was too good for Chris Gutierrez at UFC 320, and having experience fighting on PPV cards could see him go to another level.

Jean Matsumoto also boasts a good 17-1 record, but Basharat could be a fighter to follow in the bantamweight division. That’s reflected by the $1.33 odds, and he’s worth including in UFC picks this week.

Farid Basharat
Win

Dustin Jacoby vs. Julius Walker

Just when it looks like Dustin Jacoby is retiring, he scores a knockout win over Bruno Lopes in devasting fashion last June. It was a highlight moment on the card, and he’s back for more.

Julius Walker is having just his ninth MMA fight after posting a 7-1 record. He lost to Alonzo Menifield before winning against Raffael Cerqueira, but he’ll need to improve on both performances to beat a determined Jacoby.

The $1.53 odds are a touch short for Jacoby, but he should be the favourite, so include him in UFC Fight Night picks.

UFC Fight Night: Bautista vs. Oliveira Multi Bet

Our UFC Fight Night multi bet is main-card heavy, where we have Oliveira, Horiguchi, Almeida, and Basharat winning their respective fights.

The multi odds are boosted by the $2.62 for Oliveira, and although there are safer bets to include, we fancy his chances of causing an upset in the main event.
