UFC Fight Night: Strickland vs. Hernandez Main Card Picks
Sean Strickland vs. Anthony Hernandez
There is a sense that Strickland’s time near the top of the division has come to an end, which is why Hernandez is the $1.36 favourite to win.
The American hasn’t been at his best since becoming champion with a win over Israel Adesanya, and now the loudmouth fighter is looking to stay relevant in the division. That could prove difficult against 15-2 Hernandez, who ended 2025 with a submission win over Roman Dolidze.
That was an impressive victory, and he also showcased his striking ability when knocking out Michel Pereira midway through the fifth round of their fight in 2024.
Hernandez by decision is the best value at $2.40, so include that in UFC picks this week.
Geoff Neal vs. Uros Medic
Geoff Neal might have seven losses on his record, but the 35-year-old should be tough to beat on Sunday afternoon. He looks to bounce back from a rare knockout loss to Carlos Prates, and although KO losses aren’t easy to recover from, Neal is tough.
He comes up against Uros Medic, who scored a KO win over Muslim Salikhov in November. His last three wins came by knockout, so he’s an in-form fighter. However, Neal isn’t easy to beat, which is why UFC odds have Neal at $1.47.
We wouldn’t have priced Medic at $2.75, which is generous, but Neal is a fighter we enjoy backing.
Dan Ige vs. Melquizael Costa
Just when it looks like Dan Ige is back to his best, he suffers a loss. His most recent disappointment came against Patricio Pitbull at UFC 318, which followed an impressive knockout win over Sean Woodson.
His inconsistency makes him tough to follow, and looking to take advantage is Melquizael Costa, who took just over a minute to score a KO win over Morgan Charriere in December. That was a statement win for the busy fighter, who had four fights in 2025.
We love backing fighters who keep busy, and Costa wants a bigger fight in the featherweight division. Getting through Ige should be enough for that to happen.
Serghei Spivac vs. Ante Delija
Spivac hasn’t had much luck with cancelled fights recently, as he looks to bounce back from a decision loss to Waldo Cortes-Acosta.
His best days might be behind him, but the 31-year-old still has plenty of knockout power, and Ante Delija could be there for the taking.
Punters get much better odds for Spivac at $2.30, and we’re not enticed by the $1.62 for Delija, who was knocked out in the first round against Cortes-Acosta. That could take a few fights to recover from, so he’s vulnerable.
We predict the upset with Spivak winning.
Zachary Reese vs. Michel Pereira
It’s now or never for Michel Pereira if he wants a chance for a big name fight in the middleweight division.
He has been vocal throughout his career, but the loss to Kyle Daukaus was a big step back. He needs to fire back after that loss and score his first win since 2024.
Zachary Reese is 10-2 following a submission win over Jackson McVey, but the level of opponent hasn’t been strong for the American. He meets a much stronger fighter in Pereira, and he could struggle to cope with the pressure.
Punters get $1.62 for Pereira, which is worth including in UFC multi picks.
