UFC 326: Holloway vs. Oliveira 2 Main Card Picks
Max Holloway vs. Charles Oliveira
Holloway is a much better fighter when he competes for the BMF title. He had had some of his best fights competing for the belt, and next up is Oliveira, who we’re picking to notch his 12th career loss.
It’s never easy to bet against Oliveira, but with 11 losses on his record, he hasn’t been a profitable bet for UFC punters. He could struggle to find enthusiasm for this belt, having fought for the lightweight title in June last year.
We’re going with the fighter who believes he’s the baddest in the UFC, and that’s Holloway. He’s the $1.44 favourite, so he’s worth including in UFC multi picks.
Caio Borralho vs. Reiner de Ridder
Most of the early money has come for Caio Borralho, who needs to rebound after losing to Nassourdine Imanov in his only fight last year.
It was an extremely close contest, with both fighters recording the same significant strikes. Borralho shouldn’t be too deterred by that result, and he could bounce back with a win over Reiner de Ridder.
De Ridder is 21-3, and he was on the cusp of greatness after beating Robert Whittaker. However, a loss to Brendan Allen was a huge setback for the 35-year-old, who might have had his chance to rise the rankings.
$1.36 is short for Borralho, but $2.20 for a decision win is good value.
Rob Font vs. Raul Rosas Jr
Raul Rosas Jr is one of the most enterprising fighters in the UFC at 11-1, and he’s only 21-years-old.
The youngster is enjoying a winning streak, which culminated with a win over Vince Morales last March. He has had plenty of time to prepare for this fight, and the Mexican could return to the Octagon with a big performance.
Rob Font is 17 years older than Rosas Jr, which is a negative aspect. Older fighters have a losing record in the UFC, and with nine losses on his record, Font would need to be at his very best to record an upset win at $2.80.
The $1.45 for Rosas Jr is skinny, but there is better value with the $2.20 odds for a decision win.
Drew Dober vs. Michael Johnson
There isn’t much between Drew Dober and Michael Johnson with UFC odds, with Johnson holding slight favouritism at $1.83.
Johnson is 25-19, so he’s experienced, and although he has 19 losses on his record, he scored a win over Daniel Zellhuber in his most recent fight. Zellhuber lost last week, but it’s a quality win to have on your record.
Dober is tough as nails, having bounced back from getting knocked to score a KO win over Kyle Prepolec. That was an impressive performance, but Johnson is enjoying life, and he could make it four consecutive wins.
Gregory Rodrigues vs. Brunno Ferreira
We’re backing Gregory Rodrigues to score a win over Brunno Ferreira, and he has had plenty of betting support.
The 18-6 fighter is a $1.50 chance to win, having defeated Roman Kopylov last year. That was a good performance, and going the distance bodes well against Ferreira.
Ferreria comes off a win over the overrated Marvin Vettori, and we think he was lucky to win that fight. It wasn’t a good performance, and Rodrigues should capitalise on Sunday.
