UFC 325: Volkanovski vs. Lopes 2 Main Card Picks

Alexander Volkanovski vs. Diego Lopes

Lopes had his chance to win the title last year, and he didn’t take it, and we’re not sure why there has been some betting support with him.

He bounced back with a win over Jean Silva in September, but that was a much easier fight, and Volkanovski doesn’t know how to lose in this division. He’s a dominant force, and fighting in Sydney only helps his chances of retaining the belt.

We’re jumping on the $1.66 for him to win the main event, and we would have been happy to take $1.50. He’s a good multi bet inclusion, and he should score a dominant win.

Dan Hooker vs. Benoit Saint-Denis

It has been tough watching Dan Hooker over the last couple of years, and we think the Kiwi has lost his spark inside the Octagon.

His business endeavours suggest as much, and although he used to be an exciting fighter, he showed very little when losing to Arman Tsarukyan last year. That was a poor showing, and he looked either disinterested or intimated.

Benoit Saint-Denis is no Tsarukyan, but he’s good enough to hand Hooker his 14th career loss. He knocked out Beneil Dariush in 16 seconds at UFC 322, so he comes into this fight fresh and ready to make a statement.

He’s a $1.30 favourite, but there is better value with Saint-Denis by submission at $2.50.

Rafael Fiziev vs. Mauricio Ruffy

There isn’t much between Rafael Fiziev and Mauricio Ruffy with UFC odds, with Ruffy holding favouritism at $1.80.

The 29-year-old looks to bounce back after being submitted by Saint-Denis, but he looked much better when knocking out King Green in his UFC debut at UFC 313. That was an explosive performance, so Fiziev needs to watch out.

Fiziev started his 2025 with a loss to Justin Gaethje before beating Ignacio Bahamondes. He landed four takedowns in that fight, which could be his key to beating Ruffy. However, we give the power edge to the favourite, and if the fight stays standing, Ruffy should win.

Tai Tuivasa vs. Tallison Teixeira

We can’t see this fight getting out of the first round, and bookmakers agree. Under 1.5 rounds pays $1.41, and it’s likely to end with a first-round KO.

Our UFC picks have Tallison Teixeira landing the big blow to Tai Tuivasa, who hasn’t fought since 2024, and his career in the UFC is teetering on the edge. He has suffered five consecutive losses, and even fighting in Australia isn’t enough to help.

We expect Teixeira to score a knockout win, which is paying $1.57, and that’s better value than his head-to-head odds.

Quillan Salkilld vs. Jamie Mullarkey

Quillan Salkilld is a skinny $1.10 favourite to beat Jamie Mullarkey, and it’s not hard to see why. He has a 10-1 record following a knockout win over Nasrat Haqparast, which is an excellent form guide for this fight.

We don’t rate Mullarkey on the same level, which is why he’s an $8 chance to win. UFC odds give him no chance of pulling off an upset, which is a fair assessment.

The problem is finding value in betting markets, so we’re taking Salkilld to win by KO at $1.71. He could land a telling blow in the opening two rounds against the local fighter.

UFC 325 Multi Bet

We have four fighters in our UFC 325 parlay, including Volkanovski to win the main event of the night.

Punters get value odds on the main card, and we’re confident with all four fighters, including Saint-Denis, Ruffy, and Teixeira.

They are all excellent winning hopes, and although there were many upsets at UFC 324, we expect the favourites to stand up and deliver on Sunday.
