As much as we don’t want to bet against Volk, we think his time at the top of the featherweight division could be over.

Evloev is one heck of a fighter, and he has yet to suffer a defeat in 20 fights. We expect him to try get Volk to the ground, which shouldn’t be too hard to do. However, even if he can’t get Volk to the ground, he has good standup ability as well.

He’s also the younger fighter, and although we’re taking nothing away from Volk and his experience, all good things must come to an end. It could be time for Evloev to hold the belt, and the $1.92 odds for Evloev could look great in hindsight.

Petr Yan vs. Merab Dvalishvili

There won’t be much between Petr Yan and Merab Dvalishvili, as the odds reflect. Yan is the bantamweight champion, and although his career has been wild in the last few years, he’s a great fighter.

At his best, he’s good enough to beat Dvalishvili, who wasn’t able to do much in the takedown game when they met last year. He executed only two takedowns from 29 attempts, and that stuffing was enough to crown Yan as the champion.

It’s going to be a bruising and high-energy contest, but we’re leaning Yan by decision.

Lone’er Kavanagh vs. Ramazonbek Temirov

Our UFC picks this week include Lone’er Kavanagh to beat Ramazonbek Temirov, and it’s another market bookmakers are finding it tough to decide on.

Kavanagh is the $1.93 underdog, but there is nothing between them with UFC odds. Kavanagh is 10-2, following a loss to Brandon Royval. We think he’ll learn from that loss, and Temirov hasn’t fought the same level of opponents.

He could get a taste of reality on Sunday, so we’re backing Kavanagh to win at nice odds.

Alexander Volkov vs. Rizvan Kuniev

Punters get another even betting market, which has Volkov at $1.77 to improve his record to 41-11.

He’s a stalwart of the heavyweight division, and even when it looks like he’s outmatched, he finds ways to show why he’s respected in the division.

Kuniev doesn’t have nearly the same level of experience, and that’s why we’re backing Volkov to win. He knows what it takes to win on a PPV card, and the odds are worth taking.

Aaron Pico vs. Losene Keita

Aaron Pico comes off a good win over Pitbull, and that form should hold up nicely against a fighter like Losene Keita.

The 30-year-old American isn’t our best bet for the card, but he’s good enough to beat Keita, who has plenty of power, but if he doesn’t land the early knockout, he’s susceptible to losing by decision.

The $1.69 is a touch short of what we would have liked, but we’re happy to include him in picks.
