UFC Fight Night: Taira vs. Park Main Card Picks

Tatsuro Taira vs. Hyun-Sung Park

It hasn’t been a smooth pre-fight campaign for Tatsuro Taira, who got a new opponent midweek. However, the Japanese fighter has a bright future in the UFC, and we’re backing him to bounce back from his first loss.

He lost to Brandon Royval last year, and some of the best fighters in the flyweight division have suffered the same fate. That’s no knock on Taira’s talent, and considering he is only 25, the future is bright for him.

Park isn’t an easy fighter to beat. He is unbeaten at 10-0, but on face value, Taira looks much better. That’s why he’s the $1.27 favourite, and punters get $3.30 for Taira to win by points, which is worth locking in.

Mateusz Rebecki vs. Chris Duncan

One of our more confident bets on the card is Mateusz Rebecki at $1.47, which is worth including in UFC Fight Night multi picks.

The 20-2 fighter is always tough to beat when he steps inside the Octagon, and although Chris Duncan is a promising fighter, Rebecki should have the class advantage.

We don’t see any money coming for Duncan, who is 13-2, and that’s not a good sign. Rebecki should extend his already impressive record, and the $1.47 odds are generous enough to back as a single bet on Sunday.

Elves Brener vs. Esteban Ribovics

Another of our confidence UFC Fight Night picks is Esteban Ribovics, who has shortened to $1.37 this week after opening at $1.42.

We’re not surprised by the money coming for the 14-2 fighter, who was beaten by Nasrat Haqparast earlier this year. However, despite the setback in the lightweight division, Ribovics is a fighter who can bounce back and get into title contention.

Brener doesn’t appear to be in title contention with five losses on his record, so backing Ribovics to win by KO/TKO at $2.65 is the best value. He has good power, and he’s not a submission threat.

Karol Rosa vs. Nora Cornolle

We have identified Nora Cornolle as a good upset chance on Sunday. The 35-year-old comes off a submission win over Hailey Cowan, and she should have taken plenty of benefit from that performance in April.

It came on a pay-per-view card at UFC 314, and although Karol Rosa has experience fighting on PPV cards, Cornolle should fancy herself to win this fight.

Bookmakers have Rosa at $1.51, which makes up squirm. Those odds are too short, so we’re snapping up the value with Cornolle at $2.55.

Win

Neil Magny vs. Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos

We used to love betting on Neil Magny, who was a solid bet most fights, but as he heads towards the end of his career, we’re jumping off his back.

Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos has more upside at this stage of his career, hence the $1.50 odds, and although it won’t be an easy fight for the 38-year-old, he knows it’s a must-win fight for his welterweight title hopes.

The 25-9-1 fighter has been waiting patiently for this opportunity, so we’re happy to include him in our UFC multi picks this week.

Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos
Win

Danny Silva vs. Kevin Vallejos

Most of the money has come for Kevin Vallejos, who is the short $1.21 favourite. The 15-1 fighter has a bright future in the featherweight division, and although the odds are short, he shouldn’t let punters down.

There is better value with Vallejos to win by knockout at $2.20. He has quick hands, and although he’s given up a reach advantage to Danny Silva, he doesn’t mind closing the gap and putting the pressure on his opponents.

The $1.21 is very skinny, so take the generous $2.20 for a KO finish.

UFC Fight Night: Taira vs. Park Multi Picks

We are supremely confident with five fighters on the UFC Fight Night card in Las Vegas. We fancy Taira, Rebecki, Ribovics, Zeleski dos Santos, and Vallejos to win, which pays a healthy $4.64.

Predicting five winners in the UFC isn’t easy, but we can’t see any of these favourites suffering a loss. It should be a relatively drama-free fight card for punters, and upsets are likely to be at a minimum.
