The Pole is in decent form leading into Wimbledon, reaching the Semi Final at Libéma, and although she’s a better clay courter over her career, Magda Linette has shown plenty on grass the last 12 months.

Linette has covered the game handicap in eight of her last nine grass court matches, and she gets Andreeva at the perfect time, with the Russian entering Wimbledon with just one match off the back of her French Open victory.

The Pole is more than capable of an upset, going 2-2 against top-10 opposition the last 12 months, covering the game handicap in three of those four matches. She can cause a huge Day 1 upset in this at a price.

The Italian only had the one match leading in, but her grass court form has been solid across here career.

Cocciaretto has covered the game handicap in eight of her last ten grass court matches, which includes reaching the third round of Wimbledon last year, where she lost to Bencic in a third-set tie-break.

Although Xin Yu Wang started the year strong, her record is just at 18-16, and although she did make a good run at Bad Hombug in the lead-up, I’m still not entirely sold by her recent form line.

Cam Norrie is a proven grass court performer, and although his recent form has been extremely poor, I’m happy to overlook what he’s done on clay.

Norrie was a Quarter Finalist last year despite being outside the seedings, and was a Semi Finalist in 2022.

Michael Zheng is his opponent in this, who hasn’t exactly been setting the world on fire. The world 143 is 10-7 this year, missed a couple of months of tennis with injury, and although he notched some wins in qualifying, his highest ranked opponent was 188. Expect a grass court lesson in this from the Brit.

Quinn vs Darderi Over 39.5

The screams five sets. Ethan Quinn is in outstanding form leading into Wimbledon, reaching the Final in Mallorca.

Darderi is a clay courter by nature, but he does have the power to adapt to grass, with five of his last eight matches going over the total games, while covering in six of those.

Quinn does play in a lot of sets that go to seven, and from his last 16 matches, 11 have gone over the total games. The American has gone straight from the Final in Mallorca to Day 1 of Wimbledon, so fatigue entering the Championships is a real danger here and I think the Italian can capitalise in a long match.

Two relative no-names, but the odds appear the wrong way round in this match.

Tararudee beat Tagger less than six months ago at the Australian Open qualifying and it wasn’t even close, 6-3 6-0. Tagger, the Austrian, is only 18 years of age but she’s just 8-10 since March so there’s no drastic improvement since their last meeting.

Tararudee is 29-12 on the year, and although her grass court form has been poor, she’s shown enough in 2026 to suggest she’s capable of beating the 18-year-old once again.

Ranked 331 in the world, but the Brit has done some serious work on the challenger circuit going 45-11, including going through qualifying.

Basing has a decent chance in this – he faces Mochizuki, who has had a horrific last nine months. The Japanese is 9-21 since November last year, which includes his three wins in qualifying.

Mochizuki did find some form in the Nottingham challenger, but you couldn’t possibly take the Japanese in this against the winning form of Basing in front of his home crowd.
