Points should flow at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Thursday night when the Sydney Roosters and Brisbane Broncos do battle to open up Round 21.
Best Bet
The significant variance in Sydney Roosters performances lends enough concern to not lay the small start against the Broncos even though numbers dictate they are a bet. The Roosters have won four of the last five against the Broncos and have covered 10 of 13 at the SCG off scoring 20 or fewer. The Broncos cover at just 33% away from Suncorp.
There is a strong bet in this one though on the over. The Roosters were kept to 20 last week but had scored 54 and 42 the week prior. The over hits at 65% when the Roosters are off a double digit win. The over is 19-11 when the Roosters play at the SCG and is 6-3 when the Roosters are at the SCG off conceding 12 or fewer.
Brisbane are a big over team on the road too. The over has hit in six of seven Broncos road games and has hit in seven of nine Brisbane games when they are an underdog.
This total is only heading north.
Same Game Multi
Joseph Suaalii has 12 tries in his last 12 games.
Joseph Manu has 10 tries this year and the Broncos centres are vulnerable defensively.
Corey Oates has 10 tries in 15 games against the Roosters.
Value Bet
Ezra Mam has some outstanding instincts for a young player and the Broncos are not afraid at all to use him as a runner. Mam has scored four tries in eight games and scored a brilliant try against the Tigers last week. He is a huge price.
