The Raiders have improved through the back half of the season and look primed to cover against the injury hit Rams.
Best Bet
Everything that could go wrong has gone wrong for the Rams this season. A roster that was built on ‘stars and scrubs’ principles is now missing the stars, with Matthew Stafford, Cooper Kupp and Aaron Donald all on injured reserve.
It doesn’t end there though with injuries right throughout the roster, with the worst hit part of the team being the offensive line.
The Rams have now lost six straight and the task doesn’t get any easier with the in-form Las Vegas Raiders coming to town.
The Raiders have had a strange season. On three occasions they have given up 17 point leads, and had they managed to hold those, they would be in the thick of the playoff race.
Vegas have been poor defensively for most the year, but courtesy of outstanding seasons from running back Josh Jacobs and wide receiver Davante Adams, the offence ranks 3rd in the league for yards per drive and 8th for points per drive.
The defence has stepped up a little of late, with Chandler Jones recording three sacks last week. The pairing of Jones and Maxx Crosby will be causing Rams backup QB John Wolford nightmares.
With advantages on both sides of the ball, the Raiders should be able to cover against the wounded Rams, in a venue where they should have a majority of the crowd support.
Same Game Multi
The over looks a decent lean given the strength the Raiders possess on the offensive side of the ball. A 31-17 type scenario seems realistic.
Value Bet
Davante Adams once again leads the league in touchdowns with 12 scores in 12 games. The ex-Packer has scored the first touchdown of the game on three occasions. At $5.50, he is still decent value in this market.
