Expect another low-scoring affair when the Clippers host the Spurs on Sunday.
Best Bet
Spurs @ Clippers (2:30pm)
The Clippers still play in the lowest scoring games this season, with an average total points of 210.3 per game. As a result, they’ve got the lowest total points coverage in the NBA this season, only going overs in three of their 16 games.
From their last 11 games only two of those have gone over 224.5 total points, and although the Spurs do play in higher scoring encounters, teams with strong defensive ratings this season have slowed them down.
The Bucks have the best defensive rating of all teams, with their game with the Spurs hitting 204 points and going unders, while the 76ers ranked third also went unders with 219 points. The Clippers are the second-best team for defensive rating this season, so we can expect another unders in this.
Next Best
Magic @ Pacers (11:00am)
Don’t expect Tyrese Haliburton to play in this when the Pacers host the Magic, but Indiana should still be too strong.
Both teams enter off no rest, which hasn’t been a problem for the Pacers so far this season with a 2-0 record, covering in both games. Orlando has lost their only game off no rest this season, but what’s more concerning is their abysmal road record.
The Magic is 1-6 on the road this season which came on Saturday against the Bulls, and are the third worst road team in terms of covering the line at 14.3% for the season. Indiana on the other hand have a 71.4% home court coverage, covering the line in 9 of their last 10 games – they shouldn’t have any issues doing so again.
Value Bet
Raptors @ Hawks (10:00am)
The Raptors have been smashed with injuries with Pascal Siakam and Gary Trent out of their starting unit, while role players Dalano Banton, Chris Boucher, Otto Porter and Precious Achiuwa are now sidelined.
Toronto haven’t set the world on fire on the road this season with a 3-6 record, while the Hawks will be determined to bounce back after being belted by the Celtics.
Ten of Atlanta’s last 13 games have gone over the 225.5 total points line, with the Hawks ranked second in the NBA for overs coverage, doing so in 9 of those last 13 games. With the total points hitting 248 last time they played, expect it to go overs again with a Hawks win this time.
