The last spot in the playoffs is up for grabs with the Clippers making it awfully difficult for themselves with a tough match-up with the New Orleans Pelicans.
Best Bet
Pelicans @ Clippers (12:00pm)
Marcus Morris Over 12.5 Points ($1.87)
This is a very dangerous play-in match for the Clippers with this Pelicans line-up matching up very well against them with New Orleans winning three of the four games this season.
The length of Herb Jones is perfect for going head-to-head with Paul George, who only averages 20.3 points per game against New Orleans this season including just 15 points from 5/15 shooting in the Clippers only win over the Pelicans this season. Reggie Jackson has also had his issues against New Orleans this season averaging 9.8 points against them this season, with the Pelicans the best team over the last month defending the point guard restricting points 16% below average.
Although this is so hard to say due to his inconsistencies, it’s Marcus Morris who will be the difference. Morris averages 17 points per game against the Pelicans this season including 22 in their last meeting. His minutes have been all over the shop in his last 10 games spanning from 13 through to 39, but when looking at his points per 36 minutes over this period it’s 16 per game.
Morris played 30 minutes in the play-in game against Minnesota and recorded the Clippers best +/- rating at +5, finishing with 12 points. The Clippers Forward is more than capable of going off – in last year’s post season he scored 20+ in 5 of his last 13 games. This will be one frustrating bet to follow but expect Morris to cover 12.5 points with 20+ paying $7.50 great value.

Hawks @ Cavaliers (9:30am)
Evan Mobley Over 27.5 PRA ($1.87)
You just get the impression we’ll see this man in countless post-seasons across his career and he’s cut out for these games. Mobley had a strong game against the Brooklyn Nets with 19 points and 7 rebounds despite being in foul trouble, being forced to sit for a 10-minute stretch across the third and fourth quarters.
From his last 15 games dating back to March 6 he’s averaging 16.9 points, 9.1 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game from 33 minutes but being a ‘win or go home’ game we should see Mobley playing anywhere north of 36 minutes against the Atlanta Hawks.
Mobley averages 18.3 points, 9.7 rebounds and 3.3 assists against Atlanta this season, covering the 27.5 PRA in all three games with his most recent contest producing 22 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists.
Although Jarrett Allen might be returning from a finger injury, this will not cut into Mobley’s minutes nor his offensive output. It’s hard to see the Cavs beating a red-hot Atlanta team, but it won’t be due to a poor performance from Evan Mobley.
