NBA Play-In Tips – Monday, April 18 NBA Picks & Multi

Betseeker’s expert tipsters have you covered for the best NBA tips and predictions for every game of the NBA season.

The NBA playoffs get underway for eight more teams on Monday and we’re all expecting all the favourites to get off to winning starts. Here are our Monday NBA tips and same game multis.

Best Bet

Bulls @ Bucks (8:30am)

Brook Lopez over 12.5 points

The stretch-five enters the playoffs with 12 games under his belt, and from his last 10 since playing 24 minutes per game he’s averaging 14.4 points, covering the 12.5 points line in seven of those 10 games including the last four.

Lopez has played the Bulls twice since returning from injury and if the game on April 5 is to go by he’ll have no trouble covering his line with the Centre scoring 28 points.

We’ll likely only see Lopez for about 24 minutes in Game 1, especially if the result is a Bucks blowout, but he’s proven that’s all he needs to produce 15+ points.

The Bucks are likely to post a cricket score against the Bulls in this – expect a good spread of scoring across their starters.

Nets @ Celtics (5:30am)

Jaylen Brown over 3.5 assists

Not known for his ability to distribute, but the way this Boston Celtics team now move the basketball under Ime Udoka has seen Jaylen Brown’s assist numbers rise.

Brown averages 4.14 assists per game from his last 21 games, covering the 3.5 assist line in 14 of them but it’s his lead-in form to the playoffs that’s most impressive. Brown has averaged 5.5 assists from his last eight games covering the 3.5 assist line in seven of them including the last six.

In 2022 Boston has managed to score freely against this Brooklyn Nets outfit with three scores above 125 points – in those three games Brown has had 5+ assists averaging just under 7 per game.

Expect the Celtics to put up another big score against this untrustworthy Nets defence, and a full stat line from Jaylen Brown.

Value Bet

Pelicans @ Suns (11:30am)

Chris Paul 14+ assists (3.40)

What happens when you put the NBA’s #1 assist man against a team that is the second worst at conceding assist to point guards over the last month?

Point Guards produce assists 16% above average against New Orleans over the last month, so we can expect a monster assist tally from Chris Paul.

He’s yet to set the world on fire offensively averaging just 13.1 points per game in his seven games back from injury, but his assist numbers continue to rise averaging 11.9 over this period.

This trend aligns with the two games Paul played against the Pelicans this year, recording 18 assists against New Orleans in November and 15 in their most recent clash in January. He may not ge involved with a big scoring output, but we should see him cover his assist line of 11.5 with a big opportunity for 14+ at $3.40.
