Fremantle have won and covered in four of the last five against Melbourne, and the most recent was a rout. They put 118 on the Demons in Round 2 and won by 48.

They have also picked off good sides on the road this year, beating Brisbane, the Bulldogs and Adelaide on their home decks.

Melbourne’s 9-1 run at the MCG ended against Geelong two weeks ago in a shootout, which is the more relevant read on their home form than the record itself.

Daniel Turner and Kade Chandler are good ins for the Demons. Freo lose Alex Pearce but regain Brennan Cox.

The Dockers have looked a class above the rest of the competition for most of the year and they should be too good here.
