The improvement has been driven by the core midfield group. Matt Crouch, Ben Keays and Rory Laird are more Ford than Ferrari but they have been getting the job done.
GWS midfield still has plenty of quality, but the problem for the Giants has been efficiency inside forward 50. The rank last in the competition for goals from inside 50 entries. The return of Toby Greene should help this stat but he can’t do it all.
The Crows on the other hand, driven by rookie Josh Rachele and Taylor Walker, have been much improved offensively this season and only bad kicking for goal last week kept the Dogs in the game.
Being a young side the Crows are bound to have the occasional lapse which means confidence is tempered slightly, but they still look a worthy bet laying around a goal.
