Tonga entered the World Cup with the most difficult schedule in front of them but cleared their first hurdle with ease when putting England to the sword. While the final score arguably flattered Tonga, they were never in doubt of losing. Their aggressive pack proved too hard to handle while their dangerous edges took their chances.

It was a different story for Lebanon, who were as well backed as you will ever see, firming from 24.5-point outsiders to 8.5-point dogs. They were blown away early by the Kumuls in Port Moresby though in a 42-18 loss. It was the first time in three World Cups they have not covered.

These teams have met just once back in the 2017 World Cup and Tonga snuck home 24-22. This game is not too dissimilar in terms of talent differential and situation.

The plus is an utterly obscene size.

While Tonga are markedly more difficult than PNG, the location of this will be far more comfortable for the young playmaker. Conti is a good tryscorer with 10 tries in 17 NSW Cup games.
