The second week of the World Cup wraps up with the Kangaroos hosting the Bati at Suncorp Stadium and it is not a match Australia will be taking lightly with four debutants and a key recall set to bring out an improvement on the lethargic side we saw last week.

David Fifita, Sam Walker, Bradman Best and Blayke Brailey debut while James Tedesco is back for his first Test since 2023. This team will be wired for a big win with all pushing for spots in the semis and finals knowing this may be their only opportunity.

Australia have played Fiji at the last seven World Cups with the Kangaroos winning five of those by 48-plus.

They have also won 10 of their last 13 against minnows by 42-plus.

Cameron Murray has a tremendous tryscoring record at Test level where he has crossed seven times in 101games. Last World Cup he scored five tries in five matches with four of those coming off the bench. Murray gets the start this week and will play significant minutes this week and he had a strong tryscoring season with five tries in 20 games in 2026. Murray is huge value.
