Cook Islands meet New Zealand for just the second time in their history and the 84-10 win the Kiwis posted at the 2000 World Cup is in some danger here.

The good news for the Kukis is that Valentine Holmes makes his debut for the nation. The bad news is he has had an horrific season and Cook Islands were downright horrible against Fiji.

They have to travel to Christchurch for this and waiting will be a livid Kiwis team bereft after their loss to Australia.

New Zealand have won two of their last three against minnows by 60-plus and the Kukis look well out of their depth in this one.

New Zealand are going to score plenty of tries on Sunday in front of a sold out Christchurch crowd and the best value play on the board is outstanding Warriors and Kiwis lock Erin Clark. Clark is not a renowned tryscorer but comes off his best scoring season where he crossed six times in 26 games. He scored in last year’s Pacific Championships final and is huge value to score here.
