Parramatta and Canterbury have one of the most heated rivalries in Rugby League and there will be no love lost when the two enemies square off on Saturday afternoon.
These teams met in Round 14 and it was the highlight of Canterbury’s season when the Bulldogs won 34-4, affirming the decision to sack coach Trent Barrett. In the intervening 10 weeks, there has not been enough to suggest that gap has closed by enough that the Eels should be favoured by nearly double digits.
The Eels have won 10 of 13 against the Bulldogs but the line has typically been off with the Bulldogs covering four of six.
Parramatta were held scoreless by Souths last week and that is notable as teams off being shutout cover at just 36%. The Eels have also covered just 6 of 17 at CommBank and 7 of 22 when favoured by more than a converted try at CommBank.
Canterbury gave covered four of six day games and with their improvement under Mick Potter can cover the big line.
