NBA Tips – Sunday, February 4 NBA Picks & Multi

Tyrese Maxey - NBA Tips

The 76ers will need to get used to life without Joel Embiid, but off the back of a road-win against the Jazz they appear to have already made adjustments.

Best Bet

Brooklyn Nets @ Philadelphia 76ers (10:10am)

76ers -3.5
Line

The Nets have been awful on the road this season especially of late, winning just two of their last 12 away games and covering just once.

Obviously the 76ers are this price on their home court because they’re without Joel Embiid, but they managed to play very well without the MVP in one of the toughest away trips in the NBA in Utah with Maxey going for 51.

Paul Reed and Mo Bamba should be able to split Embiid’s minutes and hold their own which should be more than enough against a team with the fifth worst road coverage record in the NBA with a road win percentage sitting at 33%.

SGM – 76ers -3.5 / Reed Under 9.5 Rebounds / Claxton 10+ Points = $5.00

Next Best

Sacramento Kings @ Chicago Bulls (12:10pm)

Bulls -1.5
Line

It’s never easy playing Indiana regardless of who they roll out but the Kings were good enough to cover as our best bet on Saturday – but I’ll be going against them when they enter Chicago off no rest.

The Kings have covered in just one of their six games off no rest this season – the third worst no rest coverage in the NBA, and I’ve got no doubt the uptempo nature of the Pacers would have taken it out on them.

The Bulls have one of the best home coverage rates in the NBA since November 30 at 10-5, and have also covered in seven of their ten games this season with a rest advantage. Expect them to capitalise on a tired Sacramento outfit.

SGM – Bulls -1.5 / Murray 15+ Points / Vucevic 15+ Points = $4.00

Value Bet

Golden State Warriors @ Atlanta Hawks (11:40am)

Golden State Warriors
Win

Both the Warriors and Hawks enter this game off no rest with Atlanta entering as favourites due to playing on their home floor, but everything points towards the Hawks in this.

Atlanta has the worst no rest coverage rate in the NBA this season at 12.5%, covering in just one of their eight games off no rest this season. As for the Warriors, they’re top-five in no rest coverage at 57.1% for the season.

The Warriors also thrive on underdog status on the road, with the NBA’s best road underdog coverage rate at 9-3, while on the flip side the Hawks have been shocking covering as favourites on their home floor doing so just 23.5% of the time – the third worst in the NBA, slightly better than Detroit and Charlotte. Don’t let the win over the Suns fool you, this Hawks team are prone to a giant letdown after appearing to be on the right track.

SGM – Kuminga Over 22.5 Points / Green Over 6.5 Rebounds / Warriors +2.5 = $4.75

Sunday NBA Multi

76ers / Bulls / Knicks / Cavs = $5.20
