The Lakers would have been my last choice for who goes up 2-0 in their series for today, but here we are. Can either of the seventh seeds take the series lead at home?

Best Bet
L.A Lakers @ Houston Rockets (10:10am)
It is now or never for Houston, if they lose this game they fall to 0-3 in the series, and we all know the mountain that represents.
Smith has been more than serviceable for the Rockets, with Coach Udoka leaving him on the court for an average of more than forty minutes per game. So far in the series, Smith has averaged nine rebounds and seventeen points per game. He shot the three ball really well in Crypto Arena and now gets the luxury of a home crowd.
Houston is not scoring anywhere near their season average of 115.2PPG, yet to break the ton in this series. The season is over if they don’t clear one hundred here, so expect a scoring frenzy.
Next Best
Boston Celtics @ Philadelphia 76ers (9:10am)
Has not had the same impact as their championship year, where he was the ultimate three and D asset for Boston.
His numbers are way below what we have come to expect from White and with his shooting this poor, this number seems unachievable. In saying that, he is still taking the open shots and can score quickly when they’re dropping.
His TS% is 40.1 for this series and he has gone four from seventeen from deep. With an average PRA of just 16, I will take this until he proves me otherwise.
Value Bet
San Antonio Spurs @ Portland Trail Blazers (12:40pm)
I must admit, I didn’t watch a heap of Portland games this season, so when I saw Scoot going off in these playoffs, I assumed nobody would have seen this coming. The truth is, he has been putting up numbers for the Blazers, with 14.2PPG over thirty games this season.
The former 3rd overall pick in the 2023 draft, Scoot missed fifty-one games of this season recovering from a torn hamstring. Most recently however, he has been slowly ramping up both minutes played and points scored for the young Blazer outfit. Across his last ten regular season games he was going at 15.3PPG and cleared this line six times.
