The PGA Tour returns to Texas after the second major of the year in Louisville and hometown hero Scottie Scheffler seems a good thing to get it done after his tumultuous major week.
Best Bet
Unquestionably the best player on the planet, even after one of the wildest weeks a player could ever imagine, Scheffler finished T-8 at the PGA Championship. It is always a risk taking short odds in a regular season event that does not mean a lot but after last week and given this is his hometown, motivation should not be a factor. Could not profile any better. Leads the Tour in Putting Average, Strokes Gained: Tee To Green, Ball Striking, GIR, Bogey Avoidance and Par 4 Scoring while Augusta is the best correlation course and he is a two-time Masters winner. Short but should be winning.
Mid-Tier Bet
Quality ballstriker who profiles nicely for here. ‘Cashmere’ Keith ranks 7th in Strokes Gained: Tee To Green, 7th in GIR, 10th in Ball Striking, 13th in Par 4 Scoring and 15th in Bogey Avoidance. Trending up with six Top 20s in his last nine individual starts.
Value Bet
Glover’s Indian Summer continues and he is a great play this week. He finished T-20 at The Masters, the best guide for here and made the cut at the PGA Championship. Finished Top 25 here in two of his last three starts. Ranks 6th in Driving Accuracy, 11th in Strokes Gained: Around The Green, 11th in Strokes Gained: Tee To Green and 13th in Par 4 Scoring.
Longshot Bet
Underrated player who can show up in a big way this week. Ranks 12th in Bogey Avoidance, 13th in Scrambling and 13th in Par 4 Scoring, a nice profile for this. Finished Top 16 in last three single regular season starts.
