Jannik Sinner will look to win back-to-back Wimbledon titles, while Alexander Zverev is looking to win back-to-back majors. The Italian is the hot favourite – will he be too good for the German?
Jannik Sinner vs Alexander Zverev
Best Bet
Value Bet
Jannik Sinner stepped it up in his Semi Final with Novak Djokovic, and will now face Alexander Zverev – an extremely favourable matchup for the Italian.
Sinner holds a 10-4 career head-to-head record, but when both players have been inside the top-10 that record moves to 9-0. From those nine matches, the Italian has a serve and return rating of 112.7, covering the game handicap in six of those matches, and the total games also going unders in six of the nine.
Zverev has won just two sets from the 21 they’ve played over that nine-match run, without winning a set in their last six meetings.
The case for Zverev is that his confidence is sky high off the back of winning Roland Garros, and his numbers this tournament are almost identical to those of Sinner, but he’s openly put it on the record that he finds it just about impossible to beat Sinner, and the recent numbers don’t lie.
Sinner needed a convincing win over Djokovic and got it. If he plays to that level, we could see another straight sets win.
