Those looking at the schedule preseason would have marked this game down as one of the matches of the season. Three months into the year though and it is a very different story with the Storm really in trouble as we reach the halfway mark of the year.

The Storm rank both 11th in scoring and 11th in defence. They have conceded 26-plus in seven of their last nine. Three of their four wins have come against bottom five teams. They have played against five teams currently in the Top 8 and the last four have been losses of 18-plus.

The Roosters are renowned for their attack and they rank fifth in scoring but it is their defence that has come good. They rank fifth in points conceded with the last seven seeing them concede 24 or fewer.

The Roosters love playing teams at the bottom end of the table, covering 23 of 37 against teams outside the Top 8. They have covered five of seven interstate.

Melbourne have covered just one of eight off conceding 30-plus and have not covered their last six against Top 4 teams.
