Best Bet
The Dockers are the right side to be backing here as the Dogs’ injury crisis continues to mount.
The Bulldogs have lost to Hawthorn, Geelong and Sydney by 40, 75 and 66 points respectively in their last three weeks and now face another top-tier opponent. They remain without Darcy, Lobb, O’Donnell and Budarick, while Naughton, English, Liberatore and Jones all face fitness tests. Bontempelli is also still nursing a knee injury. The depth of this list is being seriously tested.
The loss of Lobb and O’Donnell is particularly damaging against Fremantle’s three tall forwards plus Luke Jackson. Three of the Dockers’ six wins this season have come by 40 points or more and they have the forward line to pile on the pain against a depleted Dogs backline.
Back the visitors for a big win.
Same Game Multi
It is hard to see Treacy and Amiss not filling up against a decimated Dogs defence. Luke Jackson has kicked two or more goals in three of his last four games against the Bulldogs.
Bailey Dale will have plenty of work to do in defence, and has had 25 or more disposals in four of his last five games against the Dockers.
Value Bet
The Dogs have conceded ten goals to Jeremy Cameron and seven to Charlie Curnow in the last two weeks. Someone is going massive here again.
Amiss is averaging more goals than Treacy this season and comes at a better price than his teammate. Both could be backed but Amiss is the superior value.
