We tried to make a case for backing Australia, but France should have too much class for the Wallabies.

Australia had their chance to post a win last week when losing to Ireland in heartbreaking fashion. They were ahead for most of the game, and two late goal kicks were enough to seal their fate.

Rebounding from that loss won’t be easy, especially with a couple of fresh injuries in the squad. That’s not going to help, and France is fully fit and ready to produce a big win at Suncorp as the -7.5 favourites.

It’s a fair line from bookmakers, as France looked good against the All Blacks. They’re playing without their best player in Antoine Dupont, but they don’t seem to need him. Pushing the All Blacks to within two points was a great effort in Christchurch, and they’ll be energised by that effort.
