Super Bowl 60 features the most unlikely matchup in history with the Patriots $81 preseason to win it all and the Seahawks $61.

The matchup comes 11 years on from the infamous decision of Pete Carroll to throw the ball from the one rather than hand it off to elite tailback Marshawn Lynch with the Russell Wilson pass intercepted, gifting the Pats another Super Bowl title.

Seattle have certainly been a more impressive team to the eye. They have faced a significantly harder schedule, they have averaged a bigger margin of victory and picked up a higher seed. This is a game to take the Pats with though.

Laying 4.5 points to be with Sam Darnold seems complete and utter madness and the numbers make a compelling case to be with New England.

Underdogs have been a great bet in the Super Bowl, covering 15 of the last 22 including the last five.

Teams who average a bigger margin of victory are on a 3-19 cover run while a team who had a bye in Week 1 of the playoffs against a team who played on Wild Card Weekend are 2-14-1 against the spread.

When teams are off the road against teams off home in the Super Bowl have covered eight of nine.

Mike Vrabel teams cover 57% of games as an underdog while they have covered seven of nine on the road. Shawn Smith has been a big underdog ref with the dog covering five of seven playoff games.

The start looks too big. New England are great value.

Same Game Multi

Mack Hollins 20+ Rec Yards/Rhamondre Stevenson 40+ Rush Yards/Cooper Kupp 3+ Receptions/Kenneth Walker 20+ Rec Yards

Mack Hollins has at least two catches in 11 straight with 20-plus receiving yards in seven straight.

Rhamondre Stevenson has at least 40 yards on the ground in eight straight with 70-plus in the last two playoff games.

Cooper Kupp has at least three catches in four of his last six with nine catches for 96 yards in two playoff games.

Kenneth Walker has at least 20 receiving yards in four of his last five.

Underdogs have covered five straight Super Bowls with outright wins in four of those. When underdogs win they have a good record of blowing out favourite. Five of the last seven underdog straightup wins have been by margins of eight-plus point including both times a dog of plus four or more won outright over the period. The Pats are outstanding value in alt lines up to -6.5.
