West Coast head to Marvel Stadium on Sunday afternoon as big outsiders but have been far more competitive than their ladder position suggests in recent weeks.

Best Bet
The Eagles have been competitive lately and look a good bet with a six-goal start.
Despite winning just two of their last 13, West Coast have covered the line in seven of their last eight games. Only one defeat in that stretch has been by more than 36 points, the 53-point loss to Carlton two weeks ago. The Eagles have been genuinely competitive right now against the right opposition.
The Dogs are not the team they were in previous years, at least in terms of winning by big margins. Nine wins this year but only one by more than six goals, against GWS all the way back in Round 2. Six of those nine wins have come by fewer than six points.
The loss of Tim English forces Rory Lobb into the ruck and leaves their backline vulnerable. Back the Eagles to remain competitive.
Same Game Multi
Jake Waterman is in good form, kicking three goals in four of his last five games. Jobe Shanahan has kicked a goal in each of his last seven games and with the Dogs’ backline undermanned, he should find space.
Harley Reid has had 20 or more disposals in 12 straight games.
Value Bet
Jobe Shanahan has been one of the most exciting young forwards in the competition this season. He has kicked two or more goals in two of his last three games and could take full advantage of a Dogs backline that has conceded three or more goals to an opposition key forward 14 times this year, equal worst in the competition.
