We have a cracking weekend of action for Round 6 of the NRLW with the Broncos and Roosters looking to remain unbeaten with the Warriors-Knights clash the pick of a big slate.

Canterbury are certainly trending in the right direction but there is no case for them to be laying more than a converted try against anyone. The Cowboys won the only meeting between the two teams and come off their first win of the year, a stunning comeback over Canberra. North Queensland are value.

Cronulla are an utterly infuriating team who are so poorly coached that their talent available rarely plays to the level they should. The attack is incredibly clunky and there is very little effort put up in defence. Gold Coast have scored at least 34 in their three games against teams outside the Top 6 and can do something similar here with their red-hot backline.

There is very little respect being shown towards Newcastle here, who have made a fairly strong claim to be the third best team in the NRLW this year. Kira Dibb has done a great job and this team has belted those below them and run with team above them. They were particularly good against the Roosters in defeat. Newcastle smoked New Zealand last year and look an excellent bet as an outsider here.

The Raiders were exceptionally poor in the second half losing to the Cowboys but did take the Roosters to a single score and put 28 on Brisbane last year to cover the big start. Brisbane are the standard-setters this year but Ali Brigginshaw has been suspended. Expect Canberra to put up some level of challenge here.

The Tigers are much improved this year and have won three games but this start looks too big with the three games between the sides all decided by four points or fewer.

This is a complete mismatch with the unbeaten Roosters hosting the winless Eels. To make matters worse for Parramatta, halfback Rachael Pearson and winger Marthala Mataele are out with injury. The Chooks won the last meeting between these two 56-12 and have won the last two matches this season by 30-plus. Parramatta have lost two of their last three by 20-plus and look set to be on the wrong end of another hammering.
