We have reached the second last weekend of NRLW action with the Grand Final awaiting the two winners and severe disappointment awaiting the fallen.

The Roosters have finished the regular season unbeaten for the second season on the trot and the third time in their history – but that has not boded well with John Strange’s team failing to win the title in any of the previous two. Finals failures have unfortunately been part of the club’s history with the Roosters failing to win any of their finals by double digits. That sets up well for a Raiders team that play both the Roosters and the better sides well. Canberra have won four of six against other finalists – and took the Roosters to their closest win of the year when going down 22-18 in a match that had four tries apiece. This line is bordering on ridiculous, particularly with Elise Simpson likely to play.

The Raiders have been disrespected by the bookmakers but not by nearly as much as the Titans have been, sent out underdogs despite being at home, enjoying a week off and riding a 10-game winning streak. In that run they absolutely dominated the Broncos with the 28-20 final flattering Brisbane. Gold Coast get Phoenix-Raine Hippi back from injury while Jess Elliston is a chance of returning. The Titans will win this with a 13-plus victory not out of the reckoning – they are the real deal.

Georgia Grey is a highly underrated player who has 15 tries in her last 19 games including a double when she played the Broncos this season.

Teagan Levi has enjoyed a tremendous first season in the NRLW where she has scored nine tries in 11 games.
