The New Orleans Saints, given the French history of the city of New Orleans, are sure to be the favourite of the crowd in the Stade de France for the first NFL game in Paris. And they could well leave happy with the Saints looking like a sensational bet as a small underdog.

The Saints tend to be highly undervalued on the road, going 9-3 ATS with eight straight covers away from the Superdome.

Officiating also helps. Bill Vinovich is a huge underdog referee with his crews seeing the outsider go 91-64-2 against the number.

Teams with 12-plus days rest coming up are 22-14 against the spread while Aaron Rodgers is 6-10 against the number off a win since leaving Green Bay.

New Orleans can be bet with confidence.

Tyler Shough has been an adept scrambler, topping 23 yards in three of his last five games.

Jaylen Warren is a far more effective option than Rico Dowdle and he has topped 43 yards in all six games this season.

Devaughn Vele has at least six targets in every game this year and has at least 39 receiving yards in all bar one game.

The injury to Roman Wilson has opened the door for former Michigan State, Washington and Alabama wideout Germie Bernard, who has answered the bell with class. Bernard has quickly earned the trust of notoriously distrustful QB Aaron Rodgers with 17 catches for 167 yards and a score on just 21 targets the last fortnight. Expect Rodgers to keep on feeding the rookie as he loves going to the hot hand.
