He was an eye catching run in the Premier’s Cup here last start over the 2400m, working home strongly in a race dominated by those on speed, suggesting that the extra trip would suit. Craig Williams rides and he drops half a kilo on last year’s weight.

She’s Got Pizzazz caught the eye with a barnstorming finish here last start, just finding the 1200m a touch too short, after dropping back from an impressive 1400m win the start before. In an ideal world she would be back to that trip but the 1300m should still be suitable for her, especially given the wet track. Will need breaks but is nevertheless the clear top pick here.

A moderate edition of the Stradbroke looks at the mercy of the lightly races three year olds and Regal Award fits the bill perfectly. He was sent out at huge odds in the Fred Best last start but had genuine excuses earlier this prep and certainly last spring looked like a gelding capable of stepping up to this level. With just 49.5Kg he should be right on speed here and take a power of beating.

Caulfield and Melbourne Cup hero Half Yours has taken some time to recapture his best this prep but he produced a very encouraging performance in the Doomben Cup last start to finish fourth. Obviously he will relish the step up to 2200m on the bigger track at Eagle Farm, which is a question mark against some key rivals. Should be too strong late.
