Recency bias is a dangerous proposition in wagering and Manly strike as an A1 example this week. The Sea Eagles had dropped six straight and were on the rack against Newcastle before a timely sin bin saw momentum turn and Manly ride that wave to victory.

That puts the Dragons in the frame as an excellent bet this week getting 8.5 points. The line is simply too big.

This is a bad spot for Manly. They cover just 40% of games when favoured and they have failed to cover their last three against bottom nine teams. In their last 12 at Brookvale, they have covered just four.
