Cronulla have thrown away the box seat position of winning a Top 4 spot with two heinous losses the last two weeks to lowly St George Illawarra and Canberra. They once again face a bottom nine team in the Titans on the Gold Coast and will surely be ready even with star No.6 Braydon Trindall missing.

The Sharks have dominated the Titans with 12 wins in the last 13 clashes. They have covered 10 of the last 12. The last three matches have resulted in Cronulla wins of at least 32 points.

Cronulla tend to play lower-ranking teams well, covering 31 of 47 against teams outside the Top 8. They are 24-15 ATS off loss and 6-3 ATS interstate when favoured by more than a try.

Gold Coast are 4-8 ATS as a home underdog.

Cronulla need to be taken on trust but they do look a value play.
