On paper this should be a complete mismatch even with Isaah Yeo sidelined given how poor Melbourne have defended on their edges and how superior Penrith are defensively.

This is a handy spot for the Storm though and given the major decline in Penrith’s form, Melbourne can keep this close if not win it.

The Panthers won 50-10 back in Round 5 but the Storm have won four of the last six clashes. The underdog has covered five of those six meetings.

Home underdogs of eight or more cover at 61% and after Round 20 that jumps to 66%.

This is a worrying spot for Penrith too. They have not covered any of their last six interstate games. They are 3-9 against the spread when favoured by more than eight. They have covered just three of 13 night games.

Suspect the value is with the Storm in this one.
