Newcastle have been the most disrespected team in the NRL this season by the betting market and have again been shunned wrongly this weekend.
Best Bet
It is astonishing that Newcastle will go in an outsider again despite sitting firmly inside the Top 8. The Knights, simply, should be clear favourites in this one.
Newcastle smoked Canberra 32-12 in Round 5 and have now covered 10 of the last 13 meetings.
The Knights travel well, covering 15 of 23 interstate. They cover at 64% against Top 8 opposition across their last 50 meetings. They are 30-19 ATS in day games and 33-22 ATS off conceding 23 or fewer.
Canberra are 5-8 ATS at home while they have covered just 2 of 10 when favoured and 4 of 12 against Top opposition.
Confidence is sky high on the Knights.
Same Game Multi
Greg Marzhew is in the throes of a career-best season with 19 tries in 19 games.
Dominic Young loves playing Canberra with seven tries in nine games including a double when these teams met in Round 5.
Xavier Savage has 36 tries in his last 60 games across the last three seasons.
Value Bet
Francis Manuleleua has burst onto the NRL scene over the last few weeks as a highly damaging edge forward with plenty of skill. He only has one NRL try but has been prolific in the NSW Cup with eight in eight games. His pass to set up a try was exceptional last week to set up Greg Marzhew. He is huge value to score.
