We have a compelling clash to open Round 20 with Penrith having the opportunity to drive a stake through the heart of Brisbane’s title defence.

Brisbane won’t go lying down though with a host of big names back this week led by halves Adam Reynolds and Ezra Mam and middles Payne Haas and Patrick Carrigan.

That should lead to a bit more resolve in the Broncos defence and with Penrith already holding the best defence in the NRL, a tight, low-scoring affair looks to be on the cards.

The under has hit in the last four while 10 of the last 13 have finished on 40 or fewer points.

The under is 22-11 when Penrith are off a win of 20-plus and 8-3 when they play at night at CommBank.

The under is also 19-13 when Brisbane play interstate and 7-4 when they get more than a converted try.

This game has plenty of indicators suggesting a defensive battle looms.
