Matthew Stafford threw 46 touchdowns to eight interceptions on the way to the MVP last season and the Rams led the league in both points and passing yards. The 27-7 loss in Melbourne was an aberration as we expected – he was back to his best on Monday against the Giants.

Bo Nix is the worry for Denver. He has two interceptions and three fumbles through two games, and the Broncos managed ten points at Arrowhead before trailing Jacksonville 13-3 in the second half at home last week.

The Rams have lost Myles Garrett to injured reserve, but Aaron Donald’s return from retirement has already given them interior pressure, and he was a problem for the Giants on Monday. The Denver defence meanwhile struggled to get home against Trevor Lawrence when Jacksonville kept him clean.

LA will be looking for a statement win and get their opportunity against a team they could well have met in last year’s Super Bowl.
