With both the Pistons and Cavs having a short turnaround from their respective seven game series, it might come down to the wire again here in the conference semis.

Cleveland Cavaliers @ Detroit Pistons (09:10am)
Thompson was called upon more and more as the Orlando series went on and finished averaging 32.8 minutes per game.
Thompson should have another big series here against Cleveland both playing on the attacking guards, but also spending some time switched onto Evan Mobley. He will have his work cut out in both those missions, but Detroit’s roster is lacking that go to defender that will make life hard for the Cavs.
Thompson should crash glass like we have come to expect, as we saw with 8.7RPG against the Magic. He also has shown an attraction to score against Cleveland, averaging 14PPG against them in 2026.
L.A Lakers @ OKC Thunder (10:40am)
Bit of an odd one with a series full of superstars, but I just don’t know how much of a game we will see. The Thunder swept Phoenix and have been resting since the 27th, whilst the Lakers had a tougher series against Houston which required big minutes from the majority of their starters.
Jaylin can be used if Hartenstein gets himself into foul trouble, but also as a backup in Chet’s rest minutes. He almost certainly sees time when the Thunder blow teams out and we know he is more than capable of clearing this line, with enough minutes.
We saw in game three of the Suns series what Williams can do in just twenty minutes, finishing with 14PR, including eight shot attempts in a short time. I feel safer with this, than chasing a starter who may only play twenty-five minutes.
