RR have to be backed given their record in this fixture at this venue, with five wins from seven at Jaipur against DC.

The all-time series is perfectly level at 15-15 across 30 meetings, and while DC have won three of the last five overall, two of those victories came at home. They arrive here in dreadful form, riding a three-match losing streak having been bowled out for 75 in their last outing and conceding a record chase the game before that.

Starc’s return for the Capitals is genuine cause for optimism and he has a good record against Sooryavanshi and Jaiswal. But DC have taken just seven powerplay wickets all season and Starc is coming back from three months without a competitive game.

RR chased 223 to beat PBKS in their last outing with contributions from all over their line-up. Their middle order is finding form at the right time. Stick with the home side.
