He has been jumping out very well ahead of this and even though Panchenko looked good on debut, I expect him to prove a class above.

Flying Khan was sent out at huge odds here last start off the back of a Donald maiden win but he did a great job to run on for second behind Clever Trevor. He was doing his best work on the line which suggests the extra 100m will suit, and from barrier two he should be able to sit closer in the run.

Black Run was spaced behind King Pedro at Rosehill last start but given how well that horse won the Grafton Cup yesterday there is no shame in that, and the jockey eased him down from the 200m anyway. This 2800m race is pretty thin and he should be able to lead at a much more controlled tempo here. Will take a lot of getting past.

2. Saint George

Saint George was brought out to Australia to run in the Cups and while he may not make it to that level he is a pretty handy customer, and I really liked the way he returned here over a mile four weeks ago. 2000m is a much better trip for him and even though this is a deep race, the grey can go close.

10. One Hard Lady

Thought the last race looked open and if there is to be a blowout, One Hard Lady can be it. She draws the inside which is an X factor but if that proves advantageous she has the early speed to be right on the pace. The firmer track today is much to her favour as well.
