Penrith’s vice-like grip on the premiership has certainly slipped over the last two months but after being beaten in both intensity and on the scoreboard last week by the Warriors, will be very keen to atone and assert their authority on the 2026 season.

This is certainly a great spot for the Panthers, who have dominated the Roosters and tend to perform off a poor showing.

Penrith have won 12 of the last 13 against the Roosters including a 40-4 hammering in Round 3. The Panthers have covered nine of the last 11 clashes.

The Panthers have covered 18 of 29 off a loss but notably are 11-1 against the spread off scoring 12 or fewer.

It is worth noting the record of both teams against elite opposition too. The Panthers are 10-4 against the number when playing a Top 2 opponent while the Roosters are 2-11 against the spread.

With the Roosters covering just two of eight away from Allianz, confidence is high on a Penrith win here.
