The Wolf & Sportsbet Blog – In Memoriam

Sportsbet Wolf

Who was The Wolf?

The Wolf’s tips were known and loved by generations of Australian punters. The Wolf racing tips, NBA tips, NRL tips and more were some of the best betting information available for free at the time.

Why did The Wolf disappear?

In the second half of 2021 a decision was made to get rid of the Sportsbet Blog. This meant that The Wolf’s tips were no longer available. The Wolf was the great survivor of Australian betting. He originated as The Baron with Tom Waterhouse, before becoming the William Hill Wolf, then the BetEasy Wolf, and finally the Sportsbet Wolf. The Wolf’s tips were known to be some of the best around, The Wolf’s racing tips and The Wolf’s NBA tips especially.

Where is The Wolf now?

Sadly The Wolf is no longer with us. But readers who used to enjoy The Wolf’s racing tips, NBA tips, AFL tips or NRL tips are in luck. Betseeker now has you covered for the best free tips on racing, AFL, NRL, NBA and more.

What happened to the Sportsbet Blog?

The Sportsbet Blog had a long history. It originated with Tom Waterhouse, before that company was acquired by William Hill. William Hill brough across the Tom Waterhouse blog, which had a loyal following. These tips had a big following at William Hill so it was an easy decision for BetEasy to bring across the blog after it acquired William Hill Australia in 2018.

Sportsbet then brought across the blog on a trial basis, but made a decision in the second half of 2021 to decommission it. It finally ended in November 2021, with The Wolf’s Melbourne Cup tips being the final major article published.

However, the demand for top class content is still there and to that end, Betseeker has been created to fill the demand for NBA tips, AFL tips, racing tips, NRL tips and more.
