UFC Fight Night: Walker vs. Zhang Main Card Picks

Johnny Walker vs. Mingyang Zhang

It has been a good start to the UFC career of Zhang, who is 3-0 with three wins coming by knockout. He’s the reason why the UFC is headed to China, and he could make a statement in the light heavyweight division.

The 27-year-old has matured over the last couple of years, and although Walker is much taller with a longer reach, Zhang has insane power in his hands, which was good enough to knock out Anthony Smith and Brendson Ribeiro.

Betting against Walker isn’t easy, especially as a $4 chance, but Zhang is the man to beat, and we’re happy to include him in our UFC picks this week. He’s a $1.25 chance, but punters get better odds for a knockout win.

KO

Brian Ortega vs. Aljamain Sterling

Aljamian Sterling is the current $1.35 favourite to beat Brian Ortega, but we believe the wrong fighter is favoured in this featherweight matchup.

Ortega’s career might have stuttered over the last few years, but he defeated Yair Rodriguez last year before losing by decision to Diego Lopes in September. He has been given plenty of time to recover, and he’s always a threat to win.

The 16-4 fighter is good enough to handle former champion Stirling, who lost to Movsar Evloev last year. That wasn’t a good performance, and if he doesn’t get takedowns, he struggles to win. He could struggle to get Ortega down, so back the underdog at $4.45.

Win

Sergei Pavlovich vs. Waldo Cortes-Acosta

Our UFC Fight Night picks have Sergei Pavlovich to beat Waldo Cortes-Acosta, and he’s the worthy $1.40 favourite.

The 19-3 fighter comes off a rare decision win over Jairzinho Rozenstruik, and going the distance in the heavyweight division is a good sign. It means that he can go three rounds with Cortes-Acosta and come out ahead.

The three-year-old keeps losing fights when he’s on the cusp of going to another level, but against Cortes-Acosta, who doesn’t have as much experience, he should make the most of his chances as the betting favourite.

We’re happy to include the heavyweight in our UFC multi bets at $1.40, and he’s a good chance to win by KO.

Sergei Pavlovich
Win

Su Mudaerji vs. Kevin Borjas

Punters get good value with Kevin Borjas, who is the $2.30 underdog to score an upset win over Su Mudaeji on Sunday.

Borjas comes off a decision win over Ronaldo Rodriguez, where he landed 83 significant strikes. We were impressed with that performance, and it was good to see him stuff 80% of Rodriguez’s takedown attempts.

It was a good bounce-back win after losing his UFC debut, but having that loss should only make him stronger. Mudaeji has more UFC experience, but with two losses from his last three fights, we’re not thrilled by the $1.62 odds.

There is much better value with Borjas for this flyweight fight.

Win

Taiyilake Nueraji vs. Kiefer Crosbie

Most of the money with UFC odds has come for Taiyilake Nueraji, who is 11-1 and making his UFC debut in China.

He gets a 10-5 fighter for his debut in Kiefer Crosbie, so it’s not the most brutal fight he’ll ever have, and that’s why his odds to win are $1.28.

It’s a short price for the popular fighter, who hasn’t fought since 2024. He won with a first-round TKO, and he has yet to win a fight by decision. He’s a knockout fighter, so punters should expect a quick fight on Sunday.

Back him to win by KO over Crosbie, who could be in for a short night.

UFC Fight Night: Walker vs. Zhang Multi Picks

There are good odds available in UFC Fight Night markets, and we have included four fighters in our UFC multi picks.

They include Zhang and Pavlovich at short odds, but the payouts are boosted with Ortega and Borjas. They are all good winning chances, and because the underdogs are paying such good value, punters get $18.80 with the best betting sites in Australia.
